Key real estate projects that are reshaping New Jersey

Several real estate projects were recently awarded by the New Jersey Business & Industry Association and New Jersey Business magazine during the 58th Annual New Good Neighbor Awards last year. These projects have provided almost 6,000 jobs to New Jersey residents, have gained more than $720 million in capital investments, and all in all, improve the quality of life in the state, explains Steven Rindner, a main street advisor and real estate professional.

One is the Museum of American History located at Deptford. It was a repurposing of the 98-year-old Andaloro Farmhouse, boasting of telling South Jersey’s “history through artifacts.” The Deptford Township took the effort to make improvements by preserving the 32-acre locale, painting the museum’s exterior, and improving the auxiliary buildings. Volunteers worked on the interior, including the presentation of the 80 exhibits. The museum is fast becoming a favorite destination among locals and tourists.

Next is the Princeton University Lewis Arts Complex, which vastly expands academic and artistic opportunities offered by the university and complementing the nearby McCarter Theatre Center. This is a 10-year project that seeks to become a gateway for both the municipality and the university.

Another is the Fratelli Beretta USA situated in Mount Olive. The Italian company has made an investment of $30 million for the building of a modern facility for the dry curing and production of salami and prosciutto, which would provide vast job opportunities to Jersey residents, says Steven Rindner, a main street advisor and real estate professional. Finally, there’s the nonprofitCarrier Clinic in Belle Mead. This behavioral healthcare system which first opened in 1910 is expanding and redeveloping, modernizing its facilities to improve both services and patients and staff safety.
